Jackson Blackwell
Jackson Blackwell is a Senior Political Adviser to Climate Solutions Action.
A lifelong Alaskan, Jackson was born in Sitka and raised on the Kenai Peninsula. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Boise State University Honors College where he was named a Harry S. Truman Scholar and graduated with Distinguished Honors and Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Political Science. Jackson also studied at Aarhus University’s School of Business and Social Sciences in Denmark.
Through his studies, work, and travels, Jackson developed a deep and sincere appreciation for the Arctic region Since 2017, Jackson he has served in several roles for the Arctic Encounter, including as the organization’s Managing Director.
Jackson previously worked at the Wilson Center’s Polar Institute, U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, Senator Murkowski’s Washington Office, and the Alaska State Court System. He also served as Political Director on the successful 2020 statewide Ballot Measure 2 race.
